My cars for my races this weekend. (Still haven't ran my Nationwide race yet.)
In memory of drag racer Scott Kalitta, who was tragically killed today in NHRA qualifying. The crash is on Youtube, if you want to see it, but for personal reasons, I will not post a link to it here.
On a related note, Carl Edwards is a class act in every sense of the word tonight. Some drivers would probably still do a celebratory burnout, or whatever their personal celebration is, but Carl, out of respect for the tragedy of the day, drove straight to victory lane after doing a polish victory lap, forgoing his trademark backflip. Good man, Carl. Good man.
Godspeed Scott. Just saw the accident, not something you want to see. Nothing censor worthy, although it might be brutal to watch for the simple fact of the time (however brief) he knew, and probably a lot of people knew what was about to happen. He was at 300 when his car exploded, probably when he went off the end of the track he was at 200-250. I hope the initial shock at the finish line at least knocked him out.
No kidding. As I said in a comment I left on one of the Youtube videos of it, I just hope the first blast got him, so he never had to experience that absolutely awful ending.

Why not post it? Maybe I sound like a prick, but if youre going to mention it, why not post the link. People will look, I wanted to see it again. Drug it out longer having to dig it up.
To the point at hand. Cool cars. Back when I had NR 1999, I made a 43 Petty car to drive in the Busch series. Im a Petty nut.
Meh... I just don't feel comfortable posting it, for some reason.
But anyways, yeah, my cars are owned by the Pettys. In my storyline, I made it to where my sponsor became the investors Petty was looking for, and voila. Third team, yo.

It's great that you did this tribute schemes, bud. Like the white on the sponsors and numbers like Robby's car at Pocono(he found sponsorship for the race today). It really hits hard every time I saw fatal crashes like this. Saw it a couple more times today before I went on and 300 mph is at a extreme danger. I don't want to get into comclusions but I think the end of the strip that did it in the end(my opinion). I'm driving my regular car which is white for heaven. Godspeed Scotty. You're a great person in general.
